Tormore's pine log construction coupled with the minimal use of man made materials makes it unique. It is incredibly peaceful; the ideal balance of having nature literally on your doorstep with local amenities just a short walk away. The air is fresh and thick with the scent of pine trees and red squirrels can be seen in the garden and the adjacent woods.

The house has 3 bedrooms (a double bedroom, twin bedroom and two full size bunk beds) sleeping 6. The kitchen is off the dining area and living room. There is a bathroom and separate shower room. At the front of the chalet is a veranda (with garden bench / table) giving access onto the garden which extends round the chalet.

There is off street parking for 3 cars.

The Chalet

Located in the village of Carrbridge, 7 miles north of Aviemore, Tormore is a warm and comfortable chalet, providing accommodation for up to six people. The chalet backs onto beautiful surrounding woodlands where you can often see wild deer who have even been known to venture into the garden. The immediate landscape offers a beautiful space to relax with trails perfect for gentle walks, a morning run or bike rides with children. The warmth of the wood burning stove and open plan living makes for a sociable and relaxing space after a day of outdoor activities. Perfect for families, couples or indeed anyone who wishes to enjoy the beauty of the Highlands in comfort.

The house itself is a short walk to the village centre (around 500m) where you will find a local store, restaurant, coffee shop, welcoming local pub and the renowned Landmark Adventure Park.

Guest Reviews

From those who have stayed at Tormore...

“Beautiful chalet/lodge”

'Had a family stay here for a week in August. The chalet/lodge is amazing! Wonderfully laid out and was warm and comfortable. Also extremely clean! Covid restrictions were in place but did not disrupt my holiday at all. Just tiny bits like no books/games etc. The forest at the back is a wonderful walk and highly recommended. A few mins walk to local shops and restaurants and 15 mins drive into Aviemore. The area was very peaceful and was lovely sitting on the veranda watching the locals birds that visit the garden. All in all I would 100% visit again' Alexander B W August 2020

"Lovely Log cabin in a fantastic location"

'Lovely log cabin in a fantastic location at the heart of the Cairngorms. Carrbridge is a lovely town with nice pubs and cafes and there are some lovely walks in the wood behind the cabin. The cabin itself is spacious and has everything you need including a wood burning fire. Thanks Susan for a great stay' Laura, Sept 2020

"Outstanding"

'Rented the cabin out for myself and 5 friends (we're all uni students) and we all had quite possibly the best holiday experience of our lives! The owner Sue was very helpful and was always very quick to respond to any queries we had. As for the cabin itself, it is very well supplied, within a walking distance of a spar and a few restaurants as well as a nearby park (e.g. for sports) yet, by far the best part of the cabin is that it is right next to a lush and wild forest where one can get lost in the beautiful surroundings of the cairngorms. I honestly can't think of any negatives to this incredible place and I am glad my friends and I got the opportunity to stay here'  Kieran Graham, June 2019

"Fantastic!"

'Give this place 5 stars what a fantastic week we had, especially the kids, chalet was stunning with all essentials just like home, so much for the kids to do in surrounding areas, plenty of snow on our stay which was a bonus! Loved it shall be back' Ashleigh S, March 2018
